Water Street Bagel Co.

I consider this story to be my best work. I wrote in a conversational style, successfully capturing the character of the shop and owner, and the story was singled out for praise from my section editor and management staff, who all called it the best story of the week. The story captured the excellence of the store and staff, the community love for the delicious bagels at Water Street and most importantly, the human interest angle that I found particularly moving. Stories like this are my ultimate pride and privilege to write. I wrote the story with very limited time, as I received the assignment suddenly. I also received a rare photo credit for this article!
